To further our mission of bringing workers home safe, PEC Safety sponsored the Permian Basin STEPS meeting and the Stop the Hurt campaign awards on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Our National Business Development Executive, Mallory Friend, presented on the importance of safety training in the Permian Basin to help mitigate risks as well as updated attendees on new services PEC is providing clients across the basin. We also debuted our involvement in the development of the Permian Basin Operator Roundtable – a committee created to bring operators throughout the basin together to communicate needs and concerns related to contractor safety.

Stop the Hurt
Permian Basin STEPS Stop the Hurt campaign promotes stop work authority in the oil and gas industry. Stopping jobs that could result in injury and possibly the loss of life is a must to every oil and gas industry employer. Permian Basin STEPS, by contributing monetary awards to employees of these employers, for stopping work that could injure or cause death, will raise awareness and promote stop work authority. Five participants will be selected from all entries to receive awards. These five will be selected by the Permian Basin STEPS Executive Committee.
