  • The SSQ (Standardized Safety Questionnaire) is PEC’s online contractor management system. This electronic questionnaire assesses contractor data like HSE, OSHA, EMR, and statistical information based on the services each company provides. The SSQ is configurable to meet client-specific needs. Specialized per industry, PEC works hard to streamline the questionnaire, gathering all relevant information, but also reducing the burden on contractors.
  • Document Library - The SSQ collects and houses contractors’ documents such as HSE Manuals, Safework Plans, Mechanical Integrity Plans, OSHA Logs, EMR documentation, Insurance Certificates, as well as client-specific documents like MSA’s and W-9’s.
  • Customized Algorithm - Score your contractors with PEC's customizable algorithms based on factors most important to you. Also, create customized scoring based on business unit, service types, and risk levels associated with the specific services provided.
  • Customized Ranking - Rank your contractors with an easy to use color coded to indicate their SSQ score, insurance, safety statistics, training, fines and citations, OSHA, and EMR results.
  • Reporting and Data Feeds - Run customized reports on any collected information from your contractors and export data to Excel, Word, or PDF format. Your PEC Client Representative is also available to configure and run custom reports. Many PEC clients choose an optional SSQ data feed to integrate PEC data into the clients’ enterprise management system.
  • Document Archiving - All contractor uploaded documents and questionnaires are archived for six years within the SSQ. This gives our clients the ability to review important past documentation.
  • Standardized Orientation and Training - Safety orientations such as SafeLandUSA, SafeGulf, Safe Construction, and Basic Intro to Pipeline are industry-recognized. Our standardized programs eliminate the redundancy of multiple safety orientations, and have a quality assurance audit program.  PEC training programs designed to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices are automatically uploaded and verified via PEC’s Advanced Training Tracker, a software platform provided for free to Contractor Management Clients.



Verify contractor reported data including general incident statistics, safety statistics, and insurance coverages to ensure contractors meet critical requirements.

  • OSHA Logs and EMR Verification. PEC’s team of verifiers evaluate contractors’ OSHA logs and EMR documentation accuracy.
  • Fines and Citations Verification. PEC verifies any fines and citations that your contractors are reporting are the fines and citations received.
  • Insurance Verification. PEC verifies any fines and citations that your contractors are reporting are the fines and citations received.
  • Training Tracker. View your contractors’ individual employee training records online,  including training certificates, dates taken, and expiration dates. Any training provided by PEC is automatically verified and added to your contractor’s Training Tracker.
  • Badging. Create a contractor badging system with employee IDs that contain a photo, training information, and scannable barcode linked to the Training Tracker.
  • Safety Program Review. An authorized PEC verifier will review your contractors’ safety programs for regulatory compliance and best practice.
  • Face to Face SSQ Verification. An authorized PEC verifier will visit your contractors’ office or conduct the verification via webcam to verify the self-reported answers in the SSQ through supporting documentation.
