Professional Instructor
Professional instructors own or are employed by companies that are in the business of training for profit. Professional companies will receive the Training Tracker for Professionals for an annual licensing fee. Badges printed using Training Tracker for Professionals will show the professionals company’s name and logo. Additional fees may be assessed to have PEC install the system and train users. Professionals will be required to perform the following:
- Enter all PEC training data into the PEC database through the Training Tracker for Professionals.
- Social Security Verification Background Check letter from the student employer companies and retain on file. If students are not affiliated with a company, then a copy of an acceptable picture ID and a copy of official Social Security card must be kept on file.
- Review all PEC training documents and ensure they are complete in accordance with the PEC Training Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure all facility and instructor audits are kept up to date.
- Abide by the PEC Training Policies and Procedures.
- Should have Errors and Omissions insurance on all instructors.
- Should have blanket Liability insurance on all instructors. Normally a $1M policy is required.
- Due to the risk involved with being responsible for training outside organizations, the EMR for the professional company may be higher than that of a contractor provider.
- Professional status does not guarantee revenue from or through PEC nor does it guarantee advertising from any PEC website or brochures.
Trainer Qualifications and Pre-requisites:
Basic Orientation Applicants
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in classroom instruction
- Minimum of 6 months experience in Oil & Gas Industry
- Minimum of 1 year HSE experience as a trainer or member of safety staff
- At least 50% of your job with current employer dedicated to providing services related to the health and safety program(s) for your company
- Successfully completed the Basic Orientation program as a student or be tested to ensure that you fully understand the information provided in the program
Core Compliance Applicants
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in classroom instruction
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Oil & Gas Industry
- Minimum of 2 years HSE experience as a trainer or member of safety staff
- At least 50% of your job with current employer dedicated to providing services related to the health and safety program(s) for your company
- Successfully completed the Core Compliance program as a student or be tested to ensure that you fully understand the information provided in the program
